This year’s event will take place at The Half Moon Inn Sheepwash on Saturday 29th September. There will be a wonderful 3 course meal and many prizes for the raffle including days fishing on various rivers, all raising valuable funds for projects to help improve the river habitat.
In previous years the event has taken place in October during the fishing season extension. As the Environment Agency has now ended the trial extension this event has been moved forward to coincide with the end of the fishing season.
If you would like to book a place for the dinner or buy raffle tickets, please contact The Half Moon.
The season began on the 1st of March, which coincided with a spell of snow delivered by the ‘Beast from the East’. Since then the river has been in spate on most days and unfishable. We are now in the grips of a second spell of snow and it seems that the start of the season remains on hold.
The annual AGM will be held at the Half Moon Hotel on Friday 6th April 2018, 7:00pm for 7:30pm.
All are welcome, there will be a buffet after the meeting.
Included will be:
- An update on the hatchery operations
- A report from Paul Carter: High Impact Enforcement Officer
- Seth Tuson: A member of the England youth fly fishing team
- Adrian Dowding: Update from the West Country Rivers Trust
Latest news from the Association will be posted here
